What is GWAM?
GWAM is short for Gross Words a Minute and is similar to WPM (Words Per Minute) except it does not account for any errors. GWAM is the overall typing speed regardless of how many errors you make. GWAM is often used as a measurement for users who are just learning to type and is later replaced by WPM.
How do I calculate my WPM? (Subtract your errors from your GWAM)
GWAM - Errors = WPM
GWAM - Errors = WPM
- I type 30 WPM (Words Per Minute) and make 2 errors. I have typed 28 WPM because I must deduct my errors from my speed.
